I've never done Tour Divide and never will.  However, I watched creator  Ryan van Duzer have to quit Tour Divide early a couple years ago.  I also watched my VERY accomplished nephew-in-law take it on last year and quit after about a week.  All three of you are heroes in my eyes.  I truly believe you could complete it in a different year under different circumstances, but you asked too much of your body this year.  And if you choose not to go for it later, which is the choice my nephew has come to, it doesn't make me admire you any less.  Ryan van Duzer got it done (mostly) this year and had a fantastic experience.  There are many ways to make this journey ..... I find you amazing and deeply appreciate your willingness to share you journey with us.

To me, the major indicator that you need a well deserved break is that your trademark infectious laugh is sadly missing. You are awesome. Please be well.

Heather, when I heard your Cocadona story it sounded traumatic, honestly. I hope you give your healing from that physically and emotionally the time it needs! You inspire us as much in your struggle as you do in your victories. Thank you for sharing this journey with us. You captured it beautifully.

You rip my guts out Heather. You probably don't need any encouragement to carry on but I will say thank you for the view into the life of an exceptional person.
