  Thank you all so much for watching, sharing, and engaging in good faith discussion! I know there is a lot I left out when it comes to culture and history. The script was originally twice as long and I&apos;ve uploaded the full thing to substack if you&apos;d like to read it: <a href="https://rudydoesmovies.substack.com/p/why-billionaires-cant-write-meaningful">https://rudydoesmovies.substack.com/p/why-billionaires-cant-write-meaningful</a><br><br>I can&apos;t dig into the comments as much as I&apos;d like so I wanted to leave a couple thoughts:<br><br>- A billion in media deals is not a billion liquid, I am conflating the two bc it might as well be the same thing.<br>- I see it as primarily propaganda FOR liberals who love the western/cowboy aesthetic. Get people to buy into a vibe before you slip them certain values. <br>- Analysis is not the opposite of having fun, criticism is a function of open-mindedness, and there&apos;s value in seeking depth. Explore why you like the things you like, talk about them with your friends, and remember this is just one person&apos;s opinion.

  My dad was a legit Montana cowboy before he moved states. He said the only realistic part of Yellowstone was rich assholes acting like they own the world

  Every single Sheridan show I&apos;ve ever seen has been one long &quot;I just want normal coffee-style coffee, not any of that &apos;mocha-latte-frappe&apos; bullshit you call coffee&quot; scenes. Sometimes he even literally has one of those in the show!

  The way he portrayed his character at the end of Yellowstone was almost comical. “Oooh yeah I’m the sexy superstar horse guy and all women love me but I’m also the most popular boy” - eyes were rolling so hard.

  In his first movie scripts, he gave every character in a story their fair shake. Now he just writes scenes that sound like arguments he won for himself in the shower.<br><br>He&apos;s also a great case study in how the media landscape&apos;s focus went from film to streaming and not for the better.

  I’m an actor in Texas. My agent insisted I do a “western”-themed headshot session just because of the prevalence of TS projects, and casting still outsources to LA.
