Daniel Day-Lewis was NOWHERE in Gangs of New York. He actually BECAME The Butcher. That vicious bastard was amazing. I could not believe how Daniel completely disappeared into the character. I thought he was going to kill someone one hundred percent of the time he was on the screen. Bravo to Daniel Day-Lewis.

I saw "The Unbearable Lightness of Being," "My Beautiful Launderette" and "My Left Foot" and didn't realize later that it was the same actor in each film. He transformed himself so completely.
