I agree with you that people arguing over the value of a shiny is ridiculous. A shiny is a shiny is a shiny, just like how in school an A is an A is an A.

The “catch shiny pokemon” quest will only appear if a shiny generates in the dimension. Also, sparkling power 3 guarentees a shiny spawn as long as the type matches the distortion

Honestly the way I view easy shiny hunting is as a gateway for the casual players to also get addicted to shiny hunting like we all are. It’s a good introduction into the hobby especially for the younger generations (which a lot forget is the target audience for these games, even if there’s a lot of adult fans)

As a shiny hunter that experienced the switch from 1/8192 to 1/4096 (began on Sapphire with a shiny Shuppet), I can say for certainity that it was already sparking a debate over if shinies were "too easy" to get and if it detracts from the shiny hunting experience. But in the end, I enjoyed all sorts of shinies, and how that broke the whole debate pushed me to not care about the rate and to focus on the shiniess and the fun in shiny hunting with several people.

Have fun, everyone, because that's what matters.

The fact you ignored the golden pokeball that was right in front of you while already having a pokemon out DEEPLY upsets me.

As somebody who has consistently had bad luck shiny hunting, I still get excited when I run into one. Even all the fletchlings and pidgeys I keep finding

Nooooo that first shiny fail was so tragic!!! And you hit the nail on the head addressing all the silly shiny discourse at the end!! The entire community is built around sharing stories of experiences that feel special to us, and even as someone who sticks to primarily full odds, I'd rather watch someone feel genuine excitement over a method hunted shiny than someone find something ultra turbo full odds only boasting about its rarity and value & then not even doing anything with it. That's why I love watching your videos regardless of the odds since you always take everyone on such fun little adventures
