So, funny story, my very first full odds Shiny Pokemon ever was a Shiny Whiscash back in Pokemon Platinum. I had no concept of a Shiny Pokemon at the time, but I knew it was special, due to the sparkles and the different color. But do you want to know what happened? I, being a child, somehow accidentally ejected the cartridge before I saved. I spent way too long trying to find that Whiscash again, hoping that somehow it was going to still be there. Sadly, it wasn't. I have found a fair many Shiny Pokemon since then, but I will always remember the Whiscash that only was for a short while.
