The fact that we'll never get an uncut Event Horizon is a huge disappointment.

The Void is a superb film. A love letter to 80's body horror and Lovecraftian horror done right.

Whenever I hear about "Mandy" I think of how ridiculous the random cut to Cheddar Goblin was and how much that little break from the raging madness was needed.

Thank you, Cheddar Goblin.

The entity of Prince of Darkness is basically a self concious Anti Matter. Physicist has stated that normal matter & Anti Matter destroy itself when coming into contact. However if there's a kind of lifeform that somehow evolved/advanced through some unknowable form of natural laws from whichever dimension it existed in that has Anti Matter as it's primary building blocks....developed a capability to erase other matter to put itself in its place to take over. This is by far more powerful than any aliens ever thought in sci fi.

Event Horizon: "You don't need eyes to see where we're going " chills every time. Love that movie!

There's an interesting fan theory that Event Horizon is actually set in the Warhammer 40k universe. What happens to the ship is exactly what happens when a starship travels through the warp and it's gellar fields fail in wh40k lore.

From Beyond and Reanimator are Lovecraft stories adapted to movies and are amazing. Also, The Thing deserves to be on this list.

Let's be clear here.Bird box doesn't show you the monster.Because they realize that the imagination aspect could be much scarier. No, they don't show you the monster.Because they did rig several up.But when they showed them to Sandra Bullock on the set, she started laughing and couldn't stop. And so they decided never mind , we're gonna make an "the human minds own imagination is so much worse !!!oooOOOHHoohhhHhh😮😮" THATS why burd box has no visible creatures

In the Mouth of Madness is a lot more meta even than that. After all, he's watching the same movie we are.

Event Horizon is what happens when a Warhammer 40k ship goes through warp without a Geller Field. :)
