Love that you included Scorn. In my opinion it's one of the best representations of biomechanic horror

I find Scorn deeply fascinating, because escape WAS possible - the protagonist nearly made it! The reason he didn't was the antagonist, the protagonist's identical twin, born centuries earlier. They were so identical they shared the absolute desire to escape, but due to an accident and disfiguration, the antagonist could only do so as a parasite clinging to the protagonist.

As a result, they fought each other to the death, preventing them both from escaping. Idk, that just has something so deeply symbolic.

Thank you very much for adding Scorn, it means very much also I have another concept. The High on Life games. The idea/concept that we as humans live our daily lives, mundane, nothing special than suddenly extraterrestrial or any other kind of interdimensional being(s) just simply arrive at our doorstep and without knocking, they enter and take away everyone using humanity as a source of mind altering substance, brining them unimaginable ecstasy, pleasure or even tranquility.

Some honorable mention: Remina, Gyo, Iron Lung, The Drifting Classroom, Childhood’s End, and Knowing.

Tell me you don’t understand the premise of Scorn without telling me.

I love the original book version of I Am Legend. I recently read the book and let me tell you, definitely a great book. Flips your understanding right near the end.

District 9 and Idiocy are making some HUGE comebacks these day, huh?
😂
Also, Ed Harris as Wilford AND Cristofer. The guy’s got a type and they’re both beautifully detestable❤
