I mean, it’s kind of funny when you think about how we look at King George is tyranny, but in reality, it was parliament calling shots at this point in British history

My understanding is that while the colonies trumpeted the injustice of no representation, representation was the last thing they wanted. And that's what they told to Franklin, who was negotiating with the British: "Do not, under any circumstances, agree to be our representative in Parliament." Why not? Because one voice in parliament would be swamped by all the contrary voices. No change beneficial to the colonies would occur, and we'd lose our propaganda slogan.

You've been getting really fast on the draw lately with some of these new videos from the best channels... I like it a lot. Means I can watch the original and then get context in a few days.

Don’t know if you’ll see this but the guy in Parliament who was arguing for better treatment of the colonies was Pitt the Elder. Jack never directly mentioned his name. He was easily one of if not the most influential British politicians during the seven year war, and lived a fascinating life. Underrated. Maybe a little biased as a Pittsburgher.

3:20 Another reason we call it the French and Indian War (not the 7 years war) is that IT LASTED 9 YEARS IN THE AMERICAN THEATER

Also to blame is Viscount Sackville, the Secretary to the Colonies. He's the one who convinced Lord North not to take proper action with the American colonies and is largely at fault for the failed diplomacy.

Jack Rackham's video called "Medieval communist death cult" is hilarious definitely worth checking out. Pretty interesting yet ludicrous story about religious fanaticism that makes for a tragically hilarious tale.
