Pucci's original Stand being called White Snake also has ironic religious reference. The Snake or Serpent is a common epithet for Satan, originating from the story of Adam and Eve. Pucci believes his goal is righteous, pure, or ethically white, but its origin comes from the undying snake, the devil that the world created, Dio.
In accepting Dio's Heaven plan, he made a deal with the devil and betrayed God and his own gravity. Thus he paid the ultimate price at the end, fate pulling the devil's best trick, and convincing the world that Pucci never existed.

i mean it from the bottom of my heart when i say you are the BEST to ever do it when it comes to jojo analysis on youtube. it's clear that you put a lot into these videos esp with references to philosophers like nietzsche and kierkegaard. feels academic instead of vibes-based like so many other jojo youtubers out here. great stuff and gives me a much deeper appreciation of araki's writing!

Pucci and diavolo would have been besties, they thought fate favored them BUT it wasn't on their side when they needed it most. What I took away from stone ocean is that even if your fate is set in stone, how you interact with it is what matters. Jojo is my favorite series of all time next to lupin the third because it reminds me you NEVER have to lose agency
