I saw the Fiat S76, The Beast Of Turin at Goodwood years ago. One of the highlights of the Goodwood visit. Seeing, hearing and feeling that 28 liter engine (1700 cubic inches) was something else.

Fantastic restoration guys, I'm in tears! I read a lot about the early years of motor racing and bravery and enthusiasm for cars and racing of those people amazed me. Compare to nowadays it was much more crazy and dangerous. Chapeau bas for the best car channel on YT guys ❤

Peter, I enjoyed the video. When will we get the video documenting the restoration? The few still pictures are not enough.

I would recommend pausing the video to take a longer look at the still shots. One of the letters regarding the sale and movement of the car to the US was from Samuel Insull who was one of the great names in the creation of the electrical power industry in the 1920's. I had no idea he had an interest in things automotive but is would be a good assumption that he was the one who brought this car to the attention of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum and Tony Hulman who bought it in 1965. Another photo showed, I think, Karl Kiser who cared for the collection in Indianapolis. The photo of the engine parts was interesting as the crank shaft appears impossibly small. It was an unusually short stroke and with a crank shaft like that it would have to be limited in it's rpm range. The flywheel was immense and must have been 200 pounds! This was the first program I've watched on this channel and it won't be the last.
