  when I was walking this walk, I felt like I was the only one who had ever felt this way.  Listening to Lisa tell her story, it sounds like she is telling mine. So many feelings, going through the stages, etc, our walks have been remarkably the same.  I'm sure there are a lot more viewers that can say the same thing.  Thank you Lisa, Joel & Jim, for validating our walk and giving us encouragement!  Very recently, after 5 years, I can say that I have reached the true acceptance stage and am working every day to remake the life I deserve.🙏

  I cannot thank you enough for this series. Jesus has used this series to heal me. It saddens me how so many christian marriages are being broken in this age. Knowing that so many other women are in my predicament takes away the embarrassment of not knowing who I was actually marrying.  I'm praying that God will use me as profoundly as he's using Proverbs 31 Ministries. Thank you for explaining God's loving truthfulness in a gentle & uncondemning way❤

  Im almost 70 and have lived through 35 years of marriage to an emotionally unavailable and frequently emotionally abusive relationship. I am trying to  navigate separation from this situation.  For younger women going through these situation. I would have said to my younger self. Deep breath, stand up with  dignity and courage, and walk away. God bless and encourage those people walking through these toxic situations .

  I was just thinking about this topic of loss and acceptance today. Good timing. Specifically the loss of what I hoped my life and future would be and look like. I also described it as the death of my marriage and that’s what it felt like. I have said the exact same thing that there is all that grief but it’s not viewed that way by others. The sympathy people might give for the loss of a spouse through death just does not exist in a divorce. In my case my kids lost a parent. We lost our home, the life I wanted and hoped for. The love and companionship of a spouse, feelings of stability etc. The loss is deep.

  My heart may never heal in this Life, but it won&apos;t stop me from continuing to commune with God, and looking up at the eternal future in His Love and Light that He has prepared for me.
