When you enter the dungeon and hear this. "Nah fuck this, you guys are on your own."

The original is the original, but this is the best edit I've heard of it. Keeps the spirit of the song while making it sound more menacing and scary.

 *The Knight’s Hollow Path*

Through fog and flame, the knight did roam,
In shadowed halls so far from home,
With sword in hand and helm of steel,
He fought the curse he could not feel.

The hollow dead, the ashen pyres,
Their echoes whispered through the spires.
In search of light, in search of peace,
He sought a dawn that would not cease.

The sun had set, the skies grew cold,
His armor, cracked, his heart grew old.
Through countless graves, he carved his way,
Yet hope dissolved with every day.

Each foe he felled, each soul he claimed,
No glory earned, no victor named.
The bonfires flickered, fading slow,
A flame once bright, now dull in glow.

He wandered on through frozen lands,
With bloodied sword in weary hands.
Each step a prayer, each breath a plea,
For solace lost in memory.

The bells had tolled, the lords had died,
Yet nothing filled the void inside.
The hollow curse, the endless fight,
Had stolen all, had quenched his light.

Through crumbling keeps and ashen graves,
He found no love, no hope to save.
The throne of kings, an empty place,
Reflected back his hollowed face.

He knelt before the ashen crown,
A broken soul, forever bound.
His deeds undone, his battles lost,
He paid in blood, but knew the cost.

For nothing came, no final rest,
No peace for hearts that gave their best.
His journey long, his purpose gone,
A fading ember, barely drawn.

The world grew dark, the fire cold,
And all his tales remained untold.
A knight who sought a brighter end,
But found despair, no light to mend.

Through fog and flame, the knight did fall,
His silent scream unheard by all.
A hollow shell, a nameless shade,
In darkness now, forever laid.
