You build it next to the space stairs, obviously.

Isaac's first space elevator video (many years ago) is what made me subscribe to this channel and instantly become a Patreon member.  It went way beyond traditional sci pop writing and included some ideas I had never even heard of before (like multiple end points).

The real question is, whats the elevator music gonna be like? Cause you're gonna be hearing for hours or days, so it better be good!

Imagine getting stuck in it halfway and having to wait after pressing the alarm button😮

In Case of Fire, use Stairway to Heaven.

Until you have materials that can take the forces, it's not even a pipe dream.

  Obviously New Mombasa, Kenya!

In the Halo series, New Mombasa is a major spaceport featuring a space elevator. While it's science fiction, Kenya would be an excellent candidate for a land-based equatorial space elevator irl.

If a tether is going to fall, it will fall westward, eliminating the eligiblity of some of the locations mentioned.
