  Those are some well made, clean looking speakers. I'm a huge fan of dayton drivers. My entire home theater is comprised of DIY dayton speakers. Including subs. Thank you for showing us your process of building and fabricating. It makes my DIY brain happy!!

  that pickled looking finish looks like a paint compatability issue, but could be the moisture though. If you want real high gloss its pretty hard to beat automotive 2 pack paint sprayed on with a good gun(not spray can) unless you want to cut and polish it.<br>Nice build they look real good

  That effect is called &apos;orange peel&apos;. I learned all about it from a buddy of mine who did custom automotive painting. Most of the time it occurs when the paint is too thick (high viscosity) and resists leveling out while drying. It is particularly common when spraying. Fast and even drying is the key. It&apos;s the reason pro shops use carefully controlled heat to accelerate the drying and curing process. It is a very gentle heating process called force cure.

  Dude, I love them. You got about as close to the Warfdales as possible. &nbsp;I’m thinking about these now. &nbsp;I might get stupid on the crossover though.

  Hey brother I see you at it again. you&apos;re a bro after my own heart lol. I thought I was the only who drove his wife crazy building speakers <br>to date since around 2012, I&apos;ve built probably over 20 sets of speakers (40 total) from towers to bookshelves to subwoofers and everything in between and shrinking my retirement funds lol. You actually inspire me ......again. &nbsp;What to build next? 🤔 take care bro, I&apos;ll be watching

  Disney&apos;s cat Central building these cabinets to a higher perfection my suggestion would be to get you some Auto body feeling like they use in the car construction for the subs and get you even an electric spray paint or what hairspray and it will turn on a lot salon my work but you can finish product and come out 100%

  I had the same issues with spray paint in a can. Now I used boating self leveling paint. International Paint sanded down to wet 2000 &nbsp;in between 4 to 5 coats.
