  Having bought a bike several weeks ago, first in 4 decades, and facing a drive home of about forty miles. &nbsp;I was taking an exit ramp with a long arc and was feeling a tip and slide about to happen when the words “..where you want to go..” danced through my brain. &nbsp;I moved my gaze to way down the ramp, and suddenly everything felt right. &nbsp;The lean was perfect, merging fell right into place, and everything right up to the stop sign worked. &nbsp;It felt amazing…

  I &nbsp;have riden alone since the 70s. May be ridden with one other 3 times. I am happy with myself, the bike &amp; my music.

  with the rain, we actually had a little snow the first day I did the MSF course and the instructor said she was glad it happened just so we could see it wasn’t that scary. so now I know as long as I control my inputs, rain is perfectly fine. that number one is so real. after I took my course, and passed my test, I got my first bike a week later, and the first few times were harrowing to the point where I actually thought this may be a bit too much for me. took me a couple weeks to hit 4th gear and another week or so until I hit 5th gear and probably didnt hit 6th gear for 2 months. as for the highway, I stayed away like the plague and then one NIGHT I accidentally found myself on one of our biggest, fastest highways on my way home from Niagara Falls and nearly tinkled in my panties. Got so nervous, I pulled off to the shoulder, collected myself and slowly made my way to the next exit, and took service roads home. Now, I fly down that same highway and have no problem making quick, aggressive, yet safe moves in traffic and feeling ready for a bigger bike!

  I rode with the mentality that everyone was out to get, &nbsp;that everyone was going to do something stupid. &nbsp;And that I was going to go fast and do sit Stuff. So I was always highly alert and processing multiple scenarios at ark times and never ending adapting. &nbsp;So every crash was me and me alone. &nbsp;No other vehicles or objects

  I learned to ride in the rain. &nbsp;During my MSF course, it rained constantly for all three days. &nbsp;Got over that fear real quick. &nbsp;Honestly, I was so focused on what I was trying to do, that I forgot it was raining (as weird as that sounds). &nbsp;I just don’t like not being able to see very well in the rain.

  Thanks for this. I dropped it twice in first month. Bike heavy and I used front break when just moving it round. Humility I think is important.
