My favourite, easy to miss detail this episode is that when Lucifer boasts about his "angelic power" his wings a relatively small. Meanwhile in More Than Anything they're notably bigger. He'll put on a show, but his true power is used to support Charlie.

A little Easter egg they popped into Hell’s Greatest Dad:

When Lucifer whips out a golden fiddle and starts playing it, it’s a nod to country singer Charlie Daniels and his song, The Devil Went Down to Georgia, where the Devil bets a golden fiddle against the singer’s soul in a fiddling contest, and loses.

Speaking of Lucifer being circusy, did you notice during "More Than Anything" that when he takes them through the portal and they're lying around with lights everywhere, that's under a giant circus tent? 😁 In the Hazbin universe, Hell has 7 rings, each dedicated to a different Deadly Sin -- you really only see this in Helluva Boss, while Hazbin Hotel sticks only to the top ring, Pride. But that's the entire aesthetic of Lucifer: he's forced to be the ringmaster of a chaotic seven-ring circus.

'More Than Anything" broke me. Gods, what a beautiful song.

And the next episode has the song ("You Didn't Know") that COMPLETELY threw me into love with this series.

Gods, the music is so good. Every single song is perfect.

9:00 This might not be so well known to someone non-american, but Lucifer plays a golden violin/fiddle in reference to the classic country song "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," in which The Devil literally goes down to georgia and challenges a boy named Johnny to a fiddle competition. If Johnny wins, he gets the Devil's golden fiddle.

"More Than Anything" Breaks me. Every. Single. Time. You're not at the first pause, and I'm already in tears.

Your mention of the energy of "Hell's Greatest Dad" alongside "Poison" made me pause. Because in a way, both characters are using this bright, energetic mask to hide their mental health struggles. Lucifer with his depression, and Angel with... god, that's a giant pile of trauma. But for real, Jeremy Jordan gives Lucifer so much range and I love it. (He gets to shine again as a singer in S2, in yet another different way)

I immediately loved how you described his voice with "Razzle Dazzle" - that are the names of the two demons that serve the Morningstar family and are Charlies Bodyguards.
