  SUCH a different experience rewatching "Hell's Greatest Dad" with context! Just as musically chaotic, but everything else makes way more sense (except Mimzy -- she can take a hike). And "More Than Anything" was simply STUNNING -- such a gorgeous duet between father and daughter.   Fun fact: Erika Henningsen didn't know Jeremy Jordan was playing Lucifer until she came in to record for this song and he'd already done his parts. She recognized his voice immediately. I want to say Blake Roman had the same reaction to Keith David on Loser Baby.

  To the Mimzy naysayers let me point out that she enabled the composers to go wild. The way the fight between Lucifer and Alastor was ramping up there was no way out of it within their flow. It required an outside disruption. And that is what Mimzy brought. She took their energy and ramped it up even more and confused the Hell out of everyone bringing an end to the conflict.

  Jeremy Jordan is a musical theater legend- when you get someone like him, you let him loose in the studio and you're grateful he deigned you with his presence. 😂 Which, to my understanding, is exactly what the showrunners did. Just let him do what he wanted and recorded it. And, of course, because it's Jeremy Jordan, it's fantastic and effortless.

  More than Anything is a very moving song but for some reason the part that hit me right to the core is as Lilith is carrying baby Charlie away, just before the door closes you see Lucifer's face and demeanor fall. To me the animators have somehow in a couple of frames managed to encapsulate this feeling of being deeply alone, wanting to ask for help but hesitating because you don't want to be a burden and what if the person you asks says no? Maybe i'm reading too deeply but that moment specifically is when i always start crying. Great reaction :)

  From my understanding, Mimzy was a character who had been well anticipated behind the scenes by various fans following the development of the show. Her debut in the show itself didn&apos;t happen until the latter half, and so people during the release period were constantly like &quot;But where&apos;s Mimzy?&quot; &quot;When&apos;s Mimzy showing?&quot; etc.<br><br>Her out-of-left-field entrance and bombastic &quot;GOTCHA, SUCKAS!&quot; is a 4th wall ribbing on that hype.

  Yes, Al is always smiling, it&apos;s his thing. But there&apos;s something about his smile at the end of More Than Anything.... It seems....satisfied. I kind of theorize that his whole purpose for egging Lucifer the way he did in Hell&apos;s Greatest Dad was to light a fire under Luci&apos;s ass to step up and be a dad, support his kid. He&apos;d been absent for years. Mind you, I don&apos;t think Al was doing this out of the goodness of his heart. Al is a true psychopath. I think he&apos;s motivated by....something that will be revealed later. 😁

  What&apos;s funny is yeah, Alastor is really powerful, but he isn&apos;t quite as powerful as he thinks he is. He tries to take on foes much stronger than himself and ends up getting injured.<br><br>Lucifer, meanwhile, can run circles around everyone in hell. There&apos;s a reason why he&apos;s king. So it&apos;s really nice to see that he&apos;s a sweet, funny little short guy, instead of a big brooding bad*ss. That would be so boring.

  The goosebumps I get at “took you a while, I missed that smile” is just… it’s hard to describe. I don’t know why that simple line resonates with me so much
