The cameo of the Duke brothers from "Trading Places" is one of the best in movie history. ^^

Everyone know James Earl Jones did the voice of Mufasa, but did you know Madge Sinclair (who plays the queen here) voiced Sarabi, Mufasa's lioness, in the Lion King, so they played King and Queen in 2 movies

John Amos (Mr McDowell) told the story about how they were on a break from shooting and he stepped outside to get some air. He said a white guy came up and started kinda fawning over him and being a big fan of his previous roles on TV. Mr Amos politely thanked the guy but the guy wouldn't leave him alone. He said it got to the point where he got cross with the guy and was ready to call security when the guy broke out in that trademark Eddie murphy laugh of his. John Amos had never seen Eddie in his white man in the barbershop makeup before then.

FYI: The little poodle at the McDowell's residence is the same one that fell in the well in Silence of the Lambs.

Eddie Murphy as Saul was the best.

13:04 It's too bad you skipped this scene. Here is where we see Cuba Gooding Jr's first movie appearance. He's the kid who can't keep from laughing getting his hair cut.
28:50 Yes, that is Samuel Jackson's first movie appearance as well.
53:09 Rumor has it that Eddie Murphy went out to lunch with that make-up on. At the restaurant, he found an older Jewish lady that he chatted up and they dined together. Completely in character as Saul.

"I shall deal with him myself." This was a reference to Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi.

The barbershop dialogue is some of the best in the film
