  She was pulled over for speeding and ended up in prison for over a third of a year with four digits worth of fees and a sore throat when she could have just calmly taken a ticket that would have probably amounted to around 150-300. The escalation is crazy.

  How to help them? Institutionalize them. Legitimately. A friend of mine got arrested because he's a legitimate schizophrenic who had a mental break in his hotel so they forcibly put him into a mental facility that worked with him until he was more or less in working order. He's still schizophrenic, they can't fix that, but he found meds that make it easier and he spends far less time by himself, instead spending it with family, and that drastically changed how often he would have mental breaks because apparently the stress of being fully independent had been wearing on his mind so much that he discovered when he was institutionalized that he'd been having mental breaks alone in his apartment with alarming regularity without realizing it. It took a trained psychiatrist to tell him that occasionally losing touch with reality for short periods is absolutely not normal, and they explicitly told him he should try to keep someone around who knows about his condition who can tell when he's having an episode at LEAST, to avoid the same kind of situation that got him arrested to begin with because there was nobody around to explain the source of his psychosis, so the cops treated him like your average raving drug fiend who is no longer in touch with reality.

  She made a threat to kill an Officer like 3 times, I'm surprised she didn't get arrested the first time she said she would stab them.

  They said earlier she followed him to a police station. So yes, she literally followed him to a police spawn point and started doing this.

  That's minimum disturbing the peace, 3 counts of assaulting an officer (threatened one explicitly, kicked another, spat on another), and resisting arrest. MINIMUM.
