  Im usually reaching for a drink during endings/cutscenes/game overs, so the fake outs always catch me mid sip<br><br>I’ve entered so many secret boss phases spluttering tea everywhere

  Alien Isolation: near the end of the game when Amanda is getting ready to leave the station a xenomorph hiding in one of the air ducts grabs her and drags her away to another area normally this would result in a game over instead she wakes up cocooned to a wall and the game continues as usual.

  When Mercer Frey stabbed me in Skyrim’s Snow Veil Sanctum for the first time, I thought I’d screwed up the quest somehow and was legitimately dead. He put a sword through my chest, for heaven’s sake, and then there was a blackout and a loading screen... Skyrim doesn’t give you “game over”s, but apparently it does fakeout deaths!
