  I love how nearly every criticism of this season praises A-Train's ending. He's the one character even haters have to give credit.

  they compltely undid butcher's villain arc in s4, he was supposed to go all out against all supes, not only homelander. He was supposed to be the final villain.

  Ryan can’t lose his powers. What makes him unique is that he was conceived and born with the V entirely within his system, it wasn’t an add on by anyone. That’s because Homelander was given the V while in the embryac phase. Still an add on for him, but not post birth like the others, making it part of his DNA. <br><br>So Ryan was entirely conceived with it in him, taking it away would kill him.

  I heard a theory for the Deep/global fish conspiracy thing, that said actually his powers are to control fish, not talk to them, and him thinking they’re talking is just a side effect of it. That’s why he was able to speak with his gills for some reason too back in season 1 or 2, and why every fish somehow seemed to know about his octopus girlfriend, it was all in his head, his immense guilt, the thing he spent the whole series struggling with and time and time again pushing down to pursue his own self interests, making him subconsciously command the fish and eventually killing him. I remember thinking it was pretty interesting and also tied up all the loose ends of his story nicely making for a nice arc so it definitely wasn’t written like that on purpose but it’s a nice coincidence.

  can’t lie i really did like ryan not picking either man. neither of them deserved to raise a child. anticlimactic but in a good way (?)

  Deep didn&apos;t have to have a Redemption Arc but he could at least have had a Revenge Arc. &nbsp;Pounding Homelander in the Oval Office would have been fun for him, venting years of anger.

  I felt relief when they killed Frenchie. I was so sick of how wasted his character was, and that he spent pretty much all his screen time pining over kimiko or his one-season gay boyfriend.

  How much more impactful would it have been for the boys to come back to base just to see Kimiko sitting in front of the radiation chamber - no body, just a chamber painted red and silence.
