The Deep's ending was good for the Deep, but a poor excuse for an ending for Starlight

I will give props to The Boys for having the restraint not to introduce a fucking time-travel supe.

Also why the fuck do the fish blame Deep, actually?

It was Black Noir that broke the pipeline, Deep went down there to try and fix it. Like yeah The Deep promoted the pipeline on TV but how the FUCK would the fish know that?

Did Starlight know The Deep was banned from the ocean by fish? Cos if not why the hell did she take him to the beach?

I feel admitting I found the series finale fine, but I hate how they were more obsessed with advertising Vought Rising and not building up to a finale that many would love rather than make a finale that many think joins GOT and Stranger Things

 > Tries to be a parody of superhero media

> Has the most bland "yay the good guys won" ending possible

Fell off at the end of season 3 when they had a perfect opportunity to finally kill homelander and end it all, but decided to have butcher betray soldier boy for no good reason. After that they decided to stretch the show for 2 more seasons, and those seasons are nothing burgers that drag because almost nothing happens. The plot armor got thicker, the stakes got lower, the teasing that homelander would finally go scorched earth got tiring and never happened. Plus we had 2 seasons of Gen V setting up the virus and Marie, only for those to never come into play in any meaningful way in the end.

The Deep's ending would have been better if the pipeline had just failed on its own. That way he's legitimately responsible, rather than it being one of Noir's moves in their squabble.

Neuman wasn’t an antihero at all. She was a classic villain. She also wasn’t an ally. She was going to be, if Billy didn’t kill her.

Honestly, one of my biggest gripes is that in the penultimate (or two before ending?) episode, we got three minutes of two C-villains sniffing each other's butts.

Like, genuinely, long walk, short pier. Off you go.

I honestly thought the team being in the camps would drag on longer till they got rescued in like the midpoint and I wish A-Train lived longer but his redemption was still perfect AF
