Edit: Oracle games and A Link Between Worlds will be featured in separate videos. Covering the Zelda games in release order for a smoother viewing experience :)<br>Link’s Awakening is in my Top 3 Zelda games 💨 🐟

The theory I like the most about Link's Awakening is the idea that the Nightmare isn't the Windfish's, but instead Link's, infecting the dream after he inadvertently entered it. That's why the forms of the Nightmare and the monsters on the island aren't based on anything the Windfish had seen before, but instead what Link had seen. Its Link overcoming his own greatest fears. It feels like a very satisfying explanation.

So we’re just gonna forget about Link between worlds

The characters of link's awakening are proxies for the makers of the game. Games are temporary, fleeting, often forgotten, much like a dream. It's them speaking through Marin when they say "don't forget about us" when the game is beaten, don't forget the experience, but its also a plea not to forget the care and devotion that was put into making this game.

Link to the Past is a work of art. Awakening is an underrated masterpiece

There was also a 17-minute audio drama in the 1994 CD <i>The Legend of Zelda: Sound & Drama.</i> It's untranslated, so I can't tell if it's a prequel to <i>Link to the Past,</i> a retelling of it, or set in the time of the Imprisoning War (since the VAs refer to Ganon only as "Ganondorf"). But it definitely adds new lore to the <i>Link to the Past</i> world, like another depiction of Link's mother.

Fun fact: Twin Peaks didn't really make a splash in the US, besides build a cult following throughout the years. But in Japan, it was a hit. The actors of that show basically became overnight megastars in Japan.

Supposedly, Link's Uncle has the name "Alfon" according to the Triforce of the Gods Drama CD. Haven't heard it myself, but that's what I've heard.

"Ganon's anger and <i>malice</i> lived on"<br>Gee, that sounds awfully familiar 🤔

It’d be cool to have a link to the past remake in the style of link’s awakening remake
