As to Russell Casse and his self-sacrifice, it made me teary in the movie theaters ~ the sacrifice hits hard because it's the redemption of the reprobate: kind of a trope where the lovable jerk saves us all, as opposed to the shiny "hero." If the grubby "failure" can be a hero, maybe we all can. idk, just a thought!

He spent his whole life cleaning up his fathers messes and having to be the person who took care of the family, never getting a childhood of his own. But those same traits that put him in that position enabled his dad to save the world.
