  You can laugh, a bloke I served in the Army with “went bush” after discharge. I visited him a few time in his periods “in town”. On the 2nd visit I went to grab a beer out of his garage fridge, there were only 4 beers in the fridge! The rest was glass jars (like the old jam jars) full of gold! Nuggets and dust. The fridge shelves were bent under the weight of them! I asked him, he was a bit coy at first then showed me his “spare room” in it, in the closet and on the floor were coffee cans and jars full of nuggets and dust. He explained he had found a spot, he could only work it about 4 months of the year. He hadn’t told anyone about it, he had bought the land it was on (it turned out he had bought 9,000+ ha of land and was “running” some cattle as cover). He went on to explain he couldn’t just sell the nuggets and dust, for fear the government would grab it or tax it or some big mob take it. He and I later bought a big old yacht, worked on it full time for over 6 months, then sailed it through Indonesia, then to India and back.

  Thanks Nick, between you and Markey it was a real tutorial show starting at the finding, digging, then the crushing, cleaning, heating it up and making the gold pieces and one of my favourites in your video is some great scenery too 😂 you didn’t fail 💪

  I often look at all the gold being stored in places like for Knox and watch it shimmer and think of all the blood shed and lives lost just for this one mineral.
