  The detail that got me was Eli noticing that the torch cut stopped before reaching the inner chamber. Everyone else saw an old rusted safe and immediately decided it was worthless, but he stopped and asked why someone would go through all that trouble to seal it. That forty-dollar purchase ended up protecting something far more valuable than money — the history and water rights of an entire valley. Really liked the idea that sometimes the difference is simply looking twice.

  real story : Father , &nbsp;wealthy man &nbsp;, gives his son 50 English pounds , takes him to a classic car swap meet , kid thinks &quot;great ,50 pounds , i&apos;m going to buy something &quot; wanders around for a while and comes across this large diameter tyre , buys it , then they tried to get it into the truck ,i say tried because the thing was a large solid steel ring with a rubber tyre exterior , turned out the tyre weighed 23kg and the rim 88 kg , all up it weighed 111kg ! , so they got it back to the farm , ( was an English country estate ) and the kid took it up one of the hills , took a lot of struggle to get it there and then he rolled it down the hill , came to rest on it&apos;s side behind the farmhouse , after the struggle kid just left it there , not willing to try to even stand it up , let alone get it up the hill again ! , A couple of weeks pass and Dad asks kid where the tyre is , kid tells him it&apos;s still out the back on it&apos;s side . Dad says ,&quot;just got a phone call from a bloke offering 60,000 pounds for it &quot; &nbsp;,,,kid , astonished says &quot;why ever would he do that ! &quot; &nbsp;dad replies &quot;apparently it&apos;s a wheel off Sir Donald Campbells Land Speed record car called Bluebird &nbsp;!&quot; &quot;It&apos;s got a label stuck to it &quot; he said , so they went out and looked and sure enough there was a small label sticky taped to the side , but it had been stuck on backwards ! they turned it around and the label said &quot;Bluebird , July 17 ,1964 &quot; that was when Bluebird ran at Lake Eyre in South Australia , setting a speed of 403 M.P.H. for the world record ! , so no they didn&apos;t accept the offer , instead putting it on display amongst their other motoring memorabilia in their private musem ! wher it resides to this day !
