  My oldest plant is a varigated pothos from my husband&apos;s grandfather&apos;s funeral. It is 32 years old. At one point it was 40 ft long and wrapped all around the living room. It has given many cuttings over the years.

  My jade pathos has been restarted and propagated dozens of times since the 80s. Her name is Jennifer and &nbsp;almost everyone in our family has a piece of her in their home.

  Thank you for the videos you share, I enjoy them so much! &nbsp;I’m 48. &nbsp;My oldest plant is a golden pothos that is very special to me. &nbsp;When I moved to college at 18, I took a cutting of it from my mom’s plant that had been around my whole life. &nbsp;She has passed away now, which makes it even more precious. &nbsp;I was recently telling my aunt about it and she informed me that my mom’s plant came from a cutting she took from my great-grandmother in the 70’s!

  I just sold a plant I had for 17 years. It was with me through so many of life&apos;s ups and downs, at least a dozen moves, 3 different countries, etc. It was sort of heartbreaking, but it was just the best choice for both of us. I couldn&apos;t handle its size (with my back issues) anymore and didn&apos;t really have the space in my home anymore. It felt like some sort of a profound life lesson in letting go or something.

  I wouldn’t be able to house the plants I bought in the 80’s, but I miss many of them.<br>Hang onto your OG plants as long as possible. They get more priceless over time. <br>I love your Monkey Tail! He thinks he’s an octopus 🐙

  My oldest plants are a fern (I bought it as a Dallas fern but was told later that&apos;s just a Boston fern on growth inhibitors) that I got in college 35 years ago, a hibiscus I got about 30 years ago when I was a retail greenhouse manager (I bought it because it had 2 different color flowers in the pot) and last, something called a false pregnant sea onion which I got from the University greenhouse sale while I was a student. &nbsp;I used to have a ton of plants (by 1990s standards) but lost most of them during moves or after life got busy with kids. &nbsp;These are my 3 og survivors!

  I just started collecting plants 1.5 years ago and I don&apos;t care if the plant is popular or trendy, I just care if I love it and/or can keep it alive!!! Love ur collection!<br>ETA That monkey tail cactus is AMAZING! One of my wish list plants!
