Spot 1 is STILL where I keep my main base. I created a FOB over by Crossroads and left a fief for the DD. That way I'm within an easy buggy drive for each base with purpose. Anvil base for cobalt runs, Crossroads base for aluminum and jasmium runs. That combo has worked for me for 5400 hours on PC. Lead with the Anvil base... only expand into the FOB when you can support yourself well at iron/steel tier before making the FOB

When you change map during the quest you can save your base blueprint ? Or you have to build a new one from zero ?

iron, copper, dew flowers and all the rest is just completely irrelavant after about 20-25 hours. northern shieldwall is still the best pick, due to scenic reason, quick access to overland and vertical buildability
