About the beginning, there was also a lot of external media to hype the movie. They wanted to "cure" rage, so they first tried to understand it. They infected the monkeys with a virus that causes uncontrollable rage, the tested inhibitors to try to keep them from feeling the rage. The videos were just regular old modern day chaos BEFORE the outbreak.

Great movie. One underrated part of the lore for this film is that it actually throws out the whole “undead” thing. The rage infected are still alive, they can be killed by normal means like bullets to the chest.

This was the first thing I ever saw Cillian Murphy in and he immediately became one of my favorite actors. Naomi Harris and Brendan Gleeson are outstanding as well. Fantastic movie to watch for spooky season!

As bad as the monsters are, when the world has fallen apart the monsters become the secondary problem compared to other survivors
