I taught For many years at the graduate school level, and this gentleman is an excellent and effective teacher. He explains things clearly and avoids jargon in favor of intuitive explanations. The videos move along efficiently and are well produced: great camera angles, good sound, excellent perspectives on his physical setting. He makes it clear what he is working on and how he is going about fixing things. His diagnostic narrative is excellent. The pace of the video is excellent, not too fast, not overly detailed. His manner and delivery style are great. He has a relatable way of describing what he sees, and how he evaluates possible ways to fix problems. Watching his videos, makes you feel like you are standing behind him and watching a genuine expert at work in realistic conditions. You are on his journey in his world while he is doing his work. These are real field repair shots. Nothing like the “life is easy, the problem(s) and solutions are obvious, surprises are easy to overcome, my clothes are crisp and clean” representations you see on shows like This Old House. He presents a very realistic picture about what things actually look like in the field: down in the dirt and leaves, messing with sludge in drain lines, dealing with bad wires and rusted screws, etc. We also get to see how he deals with typical issues like missing replacement parts, hard to access places, frozen bolts, non-Code compliant situations, working outside in the intense heat when he’s tired. He works, smart, efficiently, cost-effectively, and creatively. He illustrates the difference between excellence and perfection. <br>His manner is also great. He is in charge, but takes time to explain what he is doing, and why he is doing it. He speaks clearly. He doesn’t get sidetracked on cute details. He explains what he sees, his hypotheses for what the overall problem is, possible solutions and his action plan as he works towards fixing the problem. He works, smart and makes great decisions in my view. He is excellent at balancing diagnosing problems, framing possible solutions, and getting it done. Very relatable person. A+
