Freud is that kind of genius where the more you learn about him, the more you go, ‘…yeah, this guy was something else.’ He built the foundation of psychoanalysis while juggling all sorts of eccentric habits. But that’s history for you—world-changers are rarely the normal ones.

I found a lot of what Freud said and did to be quite concerning. However, he opened the door to some interesting concepts that helped many people over the following years. I liked the way you put the story together and allowed people to make up their own minds.

My habit of reading quickly led me to read some of Freud's books. Although I am a lawyer by profession, I must say that reading his works has been very useful to me. Freud's writing style, which combines scientific prose and philosophy with insights from classical literature, is pleasant and particularly useful in my line of work (which depends on convincing those who judge legal disputes). I learned to use this style, incorporating insights from history and Freud's own work, without abandoning the rigor of legal technique.

I grew up on Freud theories, now that I’ve heard his biography I believe he definitely is the father of psychoanalysis,

It was his work and ideas of unconscious that remain very relevant today. Nice presentation.

Alfred Adler really needs one. He is in the shadows compared to freud and Jung.

Freud's legacy, though a highly contested area of controversy, has been assessed as "one of the strongest influences on twentieth-century thought, its impact comparable only to that of Darwinism and Marxism,"with its range of influence permeating "all the fields of culture ... so far as to change our way of life and concept of man."
