  I once met a guy who introduced himself as American. So I asked if he could be more specific, was it Peru, Chile, Argentina? He turned away in disgust and never spoke to me again on this 7 day cruise.

  In the US I can get a vial of insulin for about $100, if I try and pay for it here in the UK they tell me I'm entitled to a medical exemption certificate because I have diabetes and not only is the insulin free but ALL my medications for ALL prescriptions related to my diabetes or not are now free. We call it healthcare!

  I&apos;m watching this video in France, and I don&apos;t understand why you&apos;re not speaking French. I have to suffer through translating every word into Spanish (because I learned Spanish in school), and then into French.<br>For any Americans reading this comment—this is sarcasm (though I&apos;m not sure if Americans ever learned to speak sarcasm).

  Here in England we all learnt English so as not to upset American tourists. However i feel that it was all in vein as they still complain that they can&apos;t understand us due to our weird accents.<br>So ungrateful.

  About the &apos;N&apos; word (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2toYdaRPIo&amp;t=1020">17:00</a>):<br>In Spanish, the first language in 21 countries worldwide, the &apos;N&apos; word is just a color:<br>Yellow - Amarillo<br>White - Blanco<br>Blue - Azul<br>Green - Verde<br>Black - Negro<br>Do we have to change a language because in a country, where that language isn&apos;t even spoken officially, they don&apos;t like a word?

  I got told &nbsp;by an American that I needed to go back to whatever English as a second &nbsp;language school I attend and &nbsp;pay more attention as my English wasn&apos;t up to standard , I&apos;m English born and bred and English is my native &nbsp;language !

  True story: &nbsp;I&apos;m a Canuck. &nbsp;I knew an American who was intelligent and 60 yrs old, Vickie. &nbsp; One day, while talking about the plight of polar bears because of the melting ice caps, Vickie said that if they can&apos;t catch seals... maybe penguins were still enough food for them. &nbsp;I commented, &nbsp;Penguins only live at the South Pole. &nbsp;She said &quot;that&apos;s ridiculous... they only live in the cold&quot;. &nbsp;After questioning her... I realized that she thought the NORTH pole was cold, but the further SOUTH you went... it got hotter. ( she was from N.C.) &nbsp;I&apos;m telling you the truth, she honestly had no educational experience with geography. &nbsp; It had not even occurred to her that there WAS a cold southern region. &nbsp; Vickie was my favorite American friend... never a dull moment. :)

  In Portugal the word &quot;Black&quot; or &quot;Preto&quot; is very offensive but the word &quot;Negro&quot; is the polite way to refer to someone of black color. As you see, countries have different ways of saying things and interpret the weight of words in our cultures.
