But no mention of the press and other media, who I'm sure were shoveling on that very pressure

There was no tip off. No mole in the camp. It nearly worked like clockwork except for 2 or 3 of the main targets escaped by the skin of their shiney turkey teeth. It could have been our version of the Valentines Day Massacre. Lucky boys.
