  A brief history of the USSR:<br>As soon as Lenin died, it turned out that the Party’s number-two man, Comrade Trotsky, was a traitor. Kamenev, Zinoviev, Bukharin, and Stalin ousted Trotsky and expelled him from the USSR. But a couple of years later, it turned out that Kamenev, Zinoviev, and Bukharin were also enemies and saboteurs. So, the valiant Comrade Genrikh Yagoda arrested them. A little later, Yezhov arrested Yagoda as an enemy agent. But a couple of years later, it turned out that Yezhov wasn&apos;t a comrade either, but just another traitor and enemy agent. So, Beria arrested Yezhov. After Stalin died, everyone realized that Beria was a traitor too. So, Zhukov arrested Beria. But soon Khrushchev discovered that Zhukov was an enemy and a conspirator, and he exiled Zhukov to the Urals. A little later, it came to light that Stalin himself had been an enemy, a saboteur, and a traitor—along with most of the Politburo. So, Stalin was removed from the Mausoleum, and the Politburo—plus Shepilov, who had sided with them—was ousted by honest Party members led by Khrushchev. A few years passed, and it turned out that Khrushchev was a voluntarist, a charlatan, an adventurer, and an enemy. So, Brezhnev sent Khrushchev into retirement. Soon Brezhnev died, and it turned out he had been a saboteur and the cause of the &quot;Stagnation.&quot; Then came two others whom no one even had time to remember. But then the young, energetic Gorbachev came to power. It turned out that the entire Party had been a party of saboteurs and enemies, but <b>he</b> was going to fix everything. And that was when the USSR fell apart. And Gorbachev turned out to be an enemy and a traitor.

  we literally know nothing about the real world. benjamin baumstein dropping all these leaked secrets and people still act like everything is normal. reading his stuff actually made me sick to my stomach

  I&apos;m really surprised that Beria lasted as long as he did, considering Stalin himself didn&apos;t want his own daughter to be alone with him and Stalin had people killed for far less than that. You&apos;d think that being so dodgy that Stalin wants you kept away from his family would be a sure fire way to end up dead? No matter how powerful Laverntiy was

  ‘dacha’ is pronounced just like it’s written — with ‘ch’ as in ‘cheese’; Russian words in English usually written phonetically; one thing people usually don’t know how to say is ‘zh’ as in Marshall Zhukov which is pronounced as ‘ss’ in ‘pressure’

  There was rhyming joke about Mikoyan in the 70s &quot;От Ильича до Ильича без инфаркта и паралича&quot; - &quot;From Ilyich to Ilyich without heart attack or paralysis&quot; - &apos;Ilych&apos; was patronymic of both Lenin and Brezhnev.
