There you have it, folks. Modding a 3DS is so easy you can even do it in a language you don't know. Great video yewf, and I can't wait for your debut stream!

contrary to what you said in the video, the original 3ds does in fact have a spot for a wrist strap. it’s at the bottom corners of the system; one is next to the charging light and has the corresponding hole coming out at the bottom of the system and the same placement is mirrored on the left side of the system so you can pick which side you want the strap to be placed on

So for anyone doing this today, you can just plug the SD card into your computer, and right click it to reformat it to fat 32, it's one of the drop down menu options

The 3DS being called a retro console made me cough up dust. Sometimes I cannot believe how old I am 🥲

I love how the first gen 3DS has a super premium build feel just like the first model of Vita, something I never felt from either device's later models.

I recommend getting a 3ds charging cradle. Its a cute accessory to have to along with the original 3ds model. You can keep it stationed at your desk, nightstand, or anywhere else thats convenient for you. It makes it so you don't have to plug in your 3ds to charge it. Just drop it in and it'll charge it.

5:20 there are two tiny holes on the left and right side of your 3ds by the headphone jack, if you look at the bottom you will see those two holes as well. you can definitely slip your wrist strap through one of those holes and use it!

Bricking a 3DS while jailbreaking it is pretty much impossible nowadays, the hacking process pretty straight forward. When I first modded my 3DS back in 2018 we had to temporarily downgrade to a really early version using special software in order to install an obsolete program on the 3DS that aided in hacking and if the 3DS turned off at all or even if the shell closed it would brick the console, plus modding it back in the day took like 6-8 hours haha.

When i was a little kid i always wanted a 3ds but didn't have enough money for that back then, last year i ended up buying myself a new 3ds and i don't know how to explain to people how much joy one gets from modding and customizing this little thing, i really appreciate your 3ds videos as it shows pretty well why it is so lovely!
