  Bought a Lexus IS250 at seven years old, 100.000km for the same price as a Datsun Go, at the Lexus dealership. It’s now on 311.000km, only changed brakes and shocks. Regular oil changes every 15.000km. That’s it.

  I&apos;m currently on my 11th Lexus, I started with the LS400 and moved quietly on from there. My current car is a 2006 Lexus GS300 SE-L with 167,000 miles on the clock and I have never had any issues with it. Oil and filters every 5,000 miles and a full service annually. I always have the work done by Lexus because it is a fixed price and carries a 10,000 mile warranty every time. My Lexus is now a classic car so insurance is very cheap. In my opinion, Japanese cars are ridiculously underrated in the UK. Toyota and Lexus in particular are among the finest cars that money can buy at any age.<br>Next month, I&apos;m taking delivery of a new daily driver in the form of a brand new Toyota C-HR Icon. This is an incredibly excellent car, with every feature you could possibly need, but nothing you don&apos;t.<br>I could have bought a 1st generation used example for not much money, but I decided it was time to treat myself.<br>Excellent review, made a lot of good sense.

  I don&apos;t know why UK motorists turn their noses up at the Suzuki Swift Sport. This was the company that in the late 90s produced the fastest production motorcycle ever &nbsp;- &nbsp;the Suzuki GSXR 1300, otherwise known as the Hyabusa, with a top speed of 194mph. There are still plenty of 1st generation Hyabusas around now, more than 25 years later, although most are not for sale as the owners love &apos;em.

  I totally agree, I owned a 2006 swift for 13 years, sold it when I left a different such an amazing car. It hold the value and I lost only 40% after 13 years driving. Same time I had a Honda, still I miss that Ivtec engine and smooth acceleration and ride with paddle shifts. Now a Lexus RX from 2017, I can&apos;t sell my car since it&apos;s such beautiful and reliable one
