According to The Motor Oil Geek, frequency in the oil-change intervals is way more important than oil brand!😊 Now we got the new SQ/ILSAC GF7A alternative!😅

Use Amsoil in our race bikes. Did 4 dyno pulls and 1 race weekend. Submitted for test, the local company said put it back in. We didn't, when we freshen the motors they are spotless inside.

The only oil I ever felt a difference with was amsoil. I've had lots of cars with lots of oil. I've used most of the big brands. On my last car I used Pennzoil ultra Platinum then I went to the Valvoline r& p. Perhaps because I had 230,000 mi, put on the Valvoline I started having low oil issues. I just bought the mobil advanced clean 0w20. It's supposed to have a lot of group 4, moly, Esther and probably some type 3. I haven't had any oil that I didn't like. But I've never really felt the difference. When I buy the oil myself I try to get what I believe is the best

I am a drive a car until the wheels fall off kind of guy. It may be overkill to some, but I run Pennzoil ultra platinum and Mobil 1 filters and change both religiously at 5k miles. I'd rather be over cautious on maintenance then have to replace the engine down the line. Oil is cheap, engines and or a car payment are not.

For a daily driver family car any of those brands are fine. Changing oil regularly is the key to engine longevity.

I use Valvoline restore & Protect in higher mileage engines and Penzoil Ultra in lower mileage cleaner engines.

Been using Kirkland oil for nearly a decade. 2010 outback 3.6r started at 140k, now at 216k. 2014 Subaru Legacy started on it in 2023 after warranty ended, 123k now. Use 5w30 in both.

I generally use Castrol, I think it's called Extended Mileage or something, Synthetic. I think the filter is more important, so I like using the WIX XP. If I'm short on the Yen so to speak, I'll settle for the Fram higher mileage one (I think says 10,000 miles, though usually change it at around 8,000).
The one weakness of the WIX XP is it is harder to grip and put on versus the easy to put on Fram (though the Fram is much lower quality).
I have a 2003 Honda Civic LX.

Along with my Amsoil Signature Series,I didn't forget a quality oil filter for extended oil changes. I prefer Wix XP.
