  I am English ..When I immigrated to Canada in the mid 1960 s  I first lived in Vancouver then on Vancouver Island .( Port  Alberni )  How I loved it…I left for a holiday back to England to see my parents and unfortunately never got back….I am still in touch  with one friend who lives in Richmond…I AM 85 now and my Canadian son and grandchildren I am glad to say are with me in England…..BUT I STILL LOVE AND MISS YOU CANADA AND ALWAYS WILL…Best wishes to all you very kind Canadian people…xxxx

  I was born and raised on Vancouver Island. I used to hunt with my father down in Duncan on the west side of Shawty Lake to shiny lake and Suk and we were up there hunting one day and we parked the van and walked off into the bush to go hunt, we came back to the van. It was a wintertime snowing around, and there’s all these footprints around on the van, not bare footprint, not cougars, not wolves nothing we took photos of the footprint. Nobody in that time, but ever explain what the footprints were, and our van was damaged on top of it. It was whatever it was put his clause on top of the roof of the van and dented, and scratched all the way from the middle of a van on the roof all the way down to the sides I’m gonna try to find the photos of it but if you’re interested, throw me a message. It was a freaky thing man I believe it’s Sasquatch 100%.

  Just like Sasquatch I moved myself and my family into the backcountry to have minimal interaction with other people.

  Many people who visit that part of Vancouver Island describe it as feeling almost prehistoric—as if they&apos;ve stepped back into a world that existed long before humans arrived. To me it looks like a forest from another planet. <br>What makes places like Nahmint Valley feel so unusual is the combination of factors that rarely occur together: <br>Mild temperatures year-round due to the Pacific Ocean. <br>Extremely high rainfall, often several meters per year in some areas of coastal British Columbia. <br>Ancient forests that have been growing for centuries without major disturbances. <br>Mountainous terrain that creates dramatic valleys, waterfalls, and rivers. <br>Abundant wildlife, from salmon and eagles to bears and Roosevelt elk. <br>One of the most surprising things is that this is not a tropical rainforest like the Amazon. It is a temperate rainforest, which means you can have giant trees, thick moss, and lush vegetation even though winter temperatures can be quite cool. <br>Also, a mature temperate rainforest like those on Vancouver Island stores vast amounts of carbon in its trees, roots, and soil. While the forest is constantly producing oxygen during daylight, the atmosphere is so enormous that local oxygen levels don&apos;t increase much above the global average.<br><br>If you stood in Nahmint Valley on a cool morning after rain, what you&apos;d likely notice most is not higher oxygen levels but the fresh, moist, clean-smelling air, the scent of cedar and earth, and the remarkable quietness. Many visitors describe it as some of the cleanest-feeling air they&apos;ve ever experienced.

  A few years ago I did a 4 day 3 night wild camping Kayak trip in the Gulf Islands off of Vancouver Island. I am from UK so knew nothing about these islands. I was with a Canadian kayak instructor named Paulo Oullet, just me and him. The first two islands both had a welcoming atmosphere and even though uninhabited felt safe. The third island I immediately noticed a dark and foreboding atmosphere even though Paulo had said nothing about the place. We pitched our tents and went for a walk along for about 2 hours along the edge of the island, Not along the shore but just inland. Visibility was about 15 feet due to the dense tree growth and moss hanging everywhere. We actually managed to get lost which was a bit scary. Then after we&apos;d eaten our grub and got into our tents. They were about 20 feet apart. At about 2am I was woken by blood curdling screams coming from about 40 to 50 feet away. They were very loud, almost human, obviously from something big. It put the fear of Christ up me and needless to say I did not get out the tent to investigate. I actually did manage to go back to sleep somehow. In the morning I asked Paulo if he&apos;d heard anything and he said no. I checked where the screams came from but there was nothing. The island&apos;s name is D&apos;Arcy Island and since getting home I looked it up. Supposedly haunted as it was a Leper Colony and had witnessed unbelievable horrors! Needless to say I was glad to leave that place and wild horses could not drag me back there!

  Welcome back, just watched your video on Vancouver island Sasquatch, born and raised and currently reside on Vancouver island, To anyone who Denys or is a non-believer, come on down to the island , we’ve heard the banging of boulders or trees up in the Nootka sound area also Many areas throughout, both ends of the island it’s so exciting to live here not only for the beauty , the endless terrain of pure &nbsp;natural brilliance , the big wood, the mountains etc… There’s endless stories as their Real and If your lucky enough to tell one then your part of it , you’ll run or you’ll come back! Thankyou for the amazing videos and evidence your sharing. Grrrrreat Job . Just found a few of your vids today and my hubby and I are watching them ALL. Many experiences himself as a logger in those &nbsp;thick mountains for 35 yrs staying in logging camps and an avid hunter of deer and elk , we’re so lucky the Sasquatch chose our island &nbsp;🫈🫈

  My husband is a hand faller on Vancouver Island. He has known many fallers who believe in Big Foot but he has never had an experience himself. I have been face to face with bears in our own backyard. I have watched deer amble by in the evening. Only in my dreams have I had a Sasquatch encounter, maybe one day. <br>Come explore Vancouver Island or one of our many gulf islands, you will be enchanted.

  I am sitting in a recliner watching this and can&apos;t imagine being being alone there, and definately it isn&apos;t normal to go for a hike in the darkness. You are brave.
