  I'm 69 now, back when I was 20 I had a really scary experience up in the Naniamo lakes district at a small lake. The name was Panther lake and to get to it you had to drive down a dry creek bed. I was camping at the single spot at the lake for 6 weeks and heading out every 2 weeks for basic supplies and then drive my Ford van back in there. Well I was sitting back enjoying the evening, when everything went dead silent and the hairs on my neck stood up. Then the smell hit me, that's when I figured it was time to go sit in the van. I sat there for about 2 hours on the bed with all the doors locked. That's when it came into the campsite from behind the van and moved to the side of the van and started rocking the van and roaring. I honestly thought it was going to roll over the van. Then it stopped rocking the van, it let out a whooping noise and everything went quiet. I didn't know if it was just standing there or if it left, I never did see it. In the morning, I couldn't break camp fast enough to get out of there. To this day I am scared to go into the bush by myself and every time I talk about it I get goosebumps from it and I used to really love camping.

  I am not sure what your time lapse is for leaving the apple. &nbsp;When we children were playing in the pacific rainforest and accidentally left our peanut butter/jelly sandwiches in a sack on a stump--and went off playing, quietly for hours, and then observed the ocean from our highland area--we had been gone for many many hours. &nbsp;We came back to find our sack of lunches missing replaced with shells and rocks. &nbsp;We initially thought, being children, that some homeless hiker had taken our lunches.<br><br>However, this happened throughout our stay there at these campgrounds, while we played in an officially restricted area some 2000 yards from our campsite. &nbsp;Forest Rangers got upset with us for being there, and gave us strange looks when we told them about the lunches disappearing and rocks, stones, twigs, shells and even bottle caps and coins being left on the stump in it&apos;s place.<br><br>This soon became our secret place over the &quot;years&quot; as we camped there for more than 10 years twice a summer. &nbsp;Every time we were there, we brought snacks, leaving them in the same place on that stump. &nbsp;WE would trade wood knocks, and whoop whoops with &quot;whoever was there&quot; much to our delight. &nbsp;It was like we had our own code. &nbsp;WE noticed grass nests and twisted trees, and trees made into &quot;A&quot; frame type shapes but thought nothing of it. &nbsp;WE were children growing up into pre-teens. &nbsp;We came from the city, grew &nbsp;up in the church, were not allowed much exposure to TV either.<br><br>i would say I was in my late 50&apos;s when I started watching YOU TUBE, and my brothers were in their 40&apos;s watching programs about Big Foot, when we suddenly came to the same conclusion that as Children in that same area of pacific Rain Forest were entertaining at least ONE Big Foot. &nbsp;WE never saw it. &nbsp;I am sure it saw us. &nbsp;WE loved this area for it&apos;s total silence and quietness. &nbsp;it was earily to my parents, when we brought them to our secret spot a couple of times. &nbsp;It made our dog scared and he had to be carried by my Dad, as he refused to walk, the poor dachshund was so scared, he wet himself. &nbsp;Mom felt we were being watched. &nbsp;WE children felt completely comfortable in that place.<br><br>My brothers demonstrated for my Dad the woodknocking, and the response back we got. &nbsp;Convincing our parents we were feeding a homeless camper. &nbsp;mom continued to make lunches to leave for the guy. &nbsp;Including 2 peanut butter/jelly sandwiches, sometimes balony, and apples and nuts. &nbsp;Our offering was received! &nbsp;I even got a fossil rock out of it which I still have to this day, and am now 62 years old!<br><br>Maybe you did not give it enough time on the stump you chose. &nbsp;Maybe you just scared the thing off. &nbsp;Because in our case, our Big Foot loved apples of all types, and loved peanut butter and balony/cheese sandwiches. &nbsp;That is my story.<br><br>Thanks for the video! &nbsp;Michelle Reed--Gresham Oregon USA

  It takes a special type of person to do what you did. I&apos;m not so convinced you did it to find Sasquatch more than just to prove to yourself you could do it. Either way and for whatever reason(s) you made an awesome video for us all to enjoy. For folks like myself who will never attempt such a feat, you are our hero for braving the wild and unknown. Keep up the great work and please be safe out there.

  I had my first strange experience in Washington, out on an old logging trail. At the entrance, I came across a pile of deer carcasses. It stopped me in my tracks. There was something deeply unsettling about it, and I’ve never forgotten how eerie it felt. The area had two rivers and a few creeks, so there was plenty of natural food and water around.<br><br>A few miles in, maybe three or four, the fog started to thicken and the forest got quiet. That’s when I heard it. A whistle, deep and haunting. Not just once, but four times. I never saw anything, but the sound was so low and powerful it felt like it echoed inside my chest. I’ll never forget that sound.<br><br>My Australian shepherd reacted before I could. She tried to run toward the tree line, barking like she was ready to defend me. I had to throw myself on her and clip her collar back on. I pulled out my Glock 19, but even with it in my hand, I didn’t feel safe. Whatever was out there, it felt like the gun wouldn’t be enough.<br><br>The sound of that whistle didn’t feel natural. It was too deep, too heavy. I could only imagine something massive making a noise like that. I started walking backward, slowly, through the rain and fog, holding my dog’s leash and my pistol, until I finally reached my vehicle.<br><br>I still don’t know what it was. But I do know it left me shaken in a way that’s hard to explain.
