If we lived in a fair world, Shivan Gorge would have said:

"Tap to add Red Mana equal to the amount of damage opponents were dealt this turn."

What's notable about a lot of the instances where a blue card is better is that the blue card is usually the only instant and the rest are sorceries.

surprised not to see the zendikar block planeswalker cycle here. the fact that the same cycle with Jace The Mind Sculptor also has Chandra Ablaze and Nissa Revane is wild

I've been working on a commander deck focused on the worst creatures in magic's history. So glad I discovered Alabaster Leech from this. It's a must-have.

12:25 Cephalid Coliseum is actually notable in CEDH as a response to Thassa’s Oracle wins, as it forces a player to draw after they have exiled their entire library with Demo Consult or the like.

Clarion Ultimatum isn’t completely useless in commander, you can use it to grab basic lands.

I always thought Volrath's Stronghold, Academy Ruins, and Hall of Heliod's Generosity was the cycle. We're still waiting on a red and green one.
