the best part of fraying omnipotence is that it kills both teams in 2 headed giant. which is still useless, but really funny

Torchling also has the problem that it is red, which is not often used in control decks. Unlike the blue Morphling.

Restore Balance is cracked as a cascade combo, y'all are crazy

Forgot to mention Aetherling, it was a sort of modernized Morphling that saw play in control decks back in its day.

It's funny that they thought Pain Seer would be too crazy now that Dark Confidant actually got reprinted back into Standard.

The suspend rocks are insane in a Yidris or Abbadon deck. Especially yidris. You can get a yidris trigger, and cast 1 drops to cascade into these suspend rocks and its insane

If Diamond Lion ever does anything, it'll be because an already existing LED deck was both able to use more copies of the effect and wanted access to a 2/2 beater for some reason.

There were legitimate restore balance cascade decks in extended and I think modern. It's probably the worst of the suspend cycle but crazy to put it at number four when I think it's the only card on this list that has actually seen play.

Addition to what you said about Diamond Lion, the fact that its a creature also does a lot in making it useless: that damn Tap symbol. It has summoning sickness... so you cant even use it the turn you drop it... at all.

Also, a good way to cheat out Restore Balance and other suspend cards is to use cards that have Cascade. Yea it makes your deck less flexible compared to the OG, but there ARE ways around it...

RIDICULOUSLY small upside of Lion's Eye Diamond and the cat-

Because the ability is only usable at instant speed, if you have Toph on the field (making all of your artifacts lands) and an opponent cast's Drain Power on you (which, as part of resolution, forces you to activate a mana ability for each of your lands), you can't be forced to activate Lion's Eye Diamond as part of Drain Power's resolution.

I TOLD you it was a ridiculously small upside, don't look at me like that!

Giving Torchling an extra +1/+1 would have made it decent but not broken
