  Aside from what is explained, Sarkhan Vol was the very first mythic card ever revealed so the price went to the roof since people were speculating how rare Mythics would be.

  Anyone else remember how hyped Lotleth Troll was? &nbsp;Lots of people believed that zombies in a Jund shell was gonna be the hotness when Return to Ravnica came out, a narrative that SCG and Channel Fireball were all too happy to push until they then showed up to the Pro Tour with UWR control decks centered around Sphinx&apos;s Revelation.<br><br>Unrelated side note: best trade I ever made was trading away two Tibalts for two Cavern of Souls.

  Is there enough for an under hyped list? Cards people thought were trash or mid but were very playable? <br>I remember Arclight Phoenix getting dunked in spoiler season. <br>I don&apos;t remember anyone calling out Oko as busted during spoiler season either

  Here&apos;s a general rule I&apos;ve learned with overhype: if you need two other cards to make it good- not game-winning, just good- you have better things to be doing with three cards and your mana

  I still remember the Inquest cover with Jester&apos;s Cap. That card really was so cool just to rip your friend&apos;s three favorite cards out of their deck. People didn&apos;t play good decks or understand things like tempo, card advantage, etc back then so it did lead to some fun moments in those school lunch game days.
