  To address the soundtrack comments, I think I am safe in saying that we ALL prefer the original soundtrack but I imagine SEGA didnt have much of a choice after having looked at it's entire development history. The soundtrack of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is one of the most interesting development stories ever and it always stood as a bit of a copyright conundrum to SEGA for years due to certain executive decisions made during it's original development. Due to the last-minute inclusion of the popular music artist Michael Jackson and his sound team, along with the consequences of his subsequent departure before the game's release, it is not fully understood how much of the soundtrack is currently owned by the company. What's interesting is that Michael approved his contributions to go on the soundtrack but then decided to go uncredited for it in the credits as he was displeased with the sound quality of the Genesis and didn't want to be associated to it. Ice Cap Zone is based of 'Hard Times', an unreleased single by the Jetzons, Carnival Night is based of 'Jam' by Michael Jackson, Launch Base Zone and Sonic 3 Act 1 Boss has Michael's voice rendered on the tracks, the Sonic 3 credits is based of 'Stranger in Moscow' and even Knuckles's theme in Sonic 3 had a rolling drumbeat from 'Blood on the Dance Floor'! The other members of his team were credited in the final release, which is why it was suspected for years that MJ was involved and only confirmed recently. The Super and Hyper theme was thrown in as the original theme being the Invincibility theme was too repetitive. A remix was done in the same style as Sonic Origins' sound director, Jun Senoue's work on Sonic 4, implying he is responsible for this remix.

  Idk why but I really like the idea of using coins to continue over normal lives. Makes me feel like a kid shoving coins into a hole-in-the-wall arcade cabinet again

  I am glad for sonic 2 that they put in a secret zone of hidden palace zone I wish they had added some other secret zones that was originally cut from the original sonic 2 game

  That’s what I like about this game if you are unsuccessful in the bonus stage they give you another chance to be successful in the bonus stage. It takes you back to the beginning into you are successful. and plus you can erase the mistakes you have made in the bonus stage that’s why I like about this game. This game is so much fun better than the old school sonic
