As a girl, I was doing the same, being outside all day, building forts, climbing trees, exploring the gullies and foothills, riding my bike, fixing my bike chain... my little sister was even riding off bike jumps! We had our share of bruises, road rash, scraped knees, and lumps on our heads. We had a blast!

People didnt steal bikes back then. I lived on the east side of Cleveland and never had my bike stolen

It's cute how the younger generations find it difficult to believe how GenX lived. They're like, "I'm sure it's not everyone." Or "It's for boys, right? What about girls?" 😂 Boys and girls play with each other so it's the same.

Speaking as a Gen Xer and parent to the current generation, we are not allowed to parent our kids the same way, but also with technology and social media, it's a lot more dangerous out there.
