  We always look for a cruise that has a good chunk of sea days. We love sea days! The best so far was in October/November 2025. Cruising from Alaska to Japan we had nine sea days in a row during that transpacific crossing in addition to a few sporadic days at the beginning. It was amazing. 18 day cruise and more than half were sea days 👍🏼

  The cruise we are taking in November is a 14 day repositioning cruise. I do not care where we stop. I want to be on the water. That is why I cruise.

  Wow, my cousin booked me on a cruise this coming December that has no sea days. If I had looked at the itinerary, I would have said no. It's booked and paid for so I'm going. Taking a cruise in March, one sea day at the end, ok. Taking a Bermuda cruise next October for 7 days, 3 sea days, now that is what Im talking about 😂. I love sea days and I always plan for them. I wish you could book a cruise to no where and just sail.

  My favorite part is the sea days.<br>Sleep in, brunch in the cabin, then move down to the pool deck to spend the day lying around and drinking.

  As I get older, I intentionally look for cruises with looong sea days (i.e. Transatlantics). Generally, these are booked by older adults and have very few, if any, screamin&apos; kids and/or rowdy young drunk &quot;adults&quot;. While 7 day, whirlwind Caribbean cruises with lots of stops are fun, they are also EXHAUSTING as you age. That&apos;s why I try to find &quot;old fogey&quot; cruises. There&apos;s so much to do on the ship....or do nothing at all but sit on your balcony and read!😎👍

  I must admit I sail Celebrity a lot (edge class) and they have a really nice size pool. I can say I’ve never felt absolutely jampacked and especially with also having the solarium, so you have options. Doing a 14 transatlantic on Royal in a couple of weeks so it will be interesting to see how that goes but I’m actually looking forward to so many days on the ship.

  Days at sea ALWAYS figures into my plans. Mostly because I get board very easy and I don&apos;t do pools or just lie around on the loungers. So what the ship has or can be done and seen on them, matters a LOT to me and not just for &quot;sea days&quot; either. Because even on port days, there may be ports that I don&apos;t want to go to (any in Mexico for example), as well as transitioning from one port to the next, you&apos;re not EATING all that time.

  Some ports are absolutely skip-able if you have been there before. &nbsp;We usually skip Costa Maya (been there several times) and stay aboard and enjoy the pool/spa and if restaurants are open - eat in Main Dining room for lunch or Breakfast.
