  The guy looking in the trash bins at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MM7wPDTWAl4&amp;t=505">8:25</a> was most likely looking for discarded plastic water bottles.<br>In Germany, they have a deposit system and you can put the plastic bottles through a machine and get 25c for every bottle.

  I guess the wheather is the main reason why there are not that many tourists in these areas. For instance in summer it is really packed. I like the city although I don&apos;t live there. So much to explore... And indeed it is dirty in some spots. Dangerous? Maybe. Nothing happened to me, but you need to be careful everywhere.

  Im a 60 year old born and raised in London. Lived past 30 years in Manchester UK. Have visited many European cities over the years. There are &apos;scammers&apos; EVERYHERE!!! &nbsp;including London. Its no different!!! And By the way I love Berlin✌️👍❤️

  I miss Berlin, been there 4 times.<br>The scammers will be on a beach somewhere now till the weather gets better in Berlin.<br>I got fleeced by one on Unter Den Linden, the deaf scam, she was very good.<br>They will never get me again.

  I was born in Berlin and have lived here for 52 years. I&apos;ve never experienced a dangerous situation on public transport. You know the usual scams, just like in any big city, and if there are really two or three areas that are dangerous, you know them and avoid them, just like in any other city. So come to Berlin, keep an eye on your belongings, don&apos;t let anyone talk you into anything, and you&apos;ll have a great time.

  I have been going to Berlin at various times of the year for at least 5 t days at a time, and never had an issue or been scammed

  I remember Berlin being safe, clean, and beautiful in 74/75/76. The love of my life lived there but I’m now old.

  My experiences in Berlin; the scammers and beggars congregate on Musuem Island mostly on the lawn near the war memorial. Having a visible camera is like having a magnet in a jar of pins and needles. They will flock to you. They have no shame. Mostly they speak in gibberish showing &quot;photos&quot; printed from &nbsp;international newspapers showing sick people in hospitals that they cry about being their child.
