  Simply, Thank You PRS. I am an enginner with no talant for playing; however,  my passion will not stop. I have a copy of 2 of Ted's patents on my wall. I know this may not get to Paul Reed Smith; however, want to say THANK YOU for your recognition of Ted  McCarty.  Yes, I own a 594.

  I knew about Ted McCarty´s importance in PRS Guitars but this documentary really demonstrates how one single man has had such an impact on, not only PRS Guitars, but the musical industry itself. My respect to PRS Guitars amazing team, Paul Smith and Mr. Ted McCarty 🎸

  It's truly an honor just to comment on this masterpiece.  Ted is no longer with us but I'd love to meet Mr. Paul Reed Smith some day. His guitars are the best in every aspect. Thank you Ted! Thank you Paul!

  This is great! I have a Ted McCarty story. I grew up in the Kalamazoo area and started playing guitar in 1991 when I was 14 years old. It may have been 1991 or 1992 that Ted did an in store appearance at a store in Portage, Michigan (just south of Kalamazoo) called First Class Music, a local Gibson and Fender dealer. He spoke for a bit about his time at Gibson, but what caught my eye as a young teen, new guitar player, was the 1958 Korina V he had in a lucite case on display. He saw me looking at it, and said, “Well, do you wanna LOOK at it or do you wanna PLAY it, kid?!” I told him I hadn’t been playing long, but I’d love to check it out. He took it out of the case, and with that gravely voice, looked right at me as he handed me the 1958 Korina Flying V and said, “Just don’t fucking drop it.” 😂😂 I said, “I won’t, sir. I promise.” I played AC/DC’s “Sin City” and he said it sounded sweet, and told me I could play it much better than he could. He signed an 8x10 for me that I still have somewhere and thanked me for playing his guitar. I didn’t know much about him before that, but that sparked my learning about him as much as I could back then and over the years. Forward to now, and I’m almost 49 and my better half’s dad used to work at Gibson in the 60s - several years under McCarty. He still says things were never the same after McCarty left Gibson. Thanks for adding to the man’s legacy. I’ll never forget when I crossed paths with Ted! Such a cool dude!

  I live in Somerset, Ky which is Ted’s birthplace. No one around here knows this is the hometown of such a legend.
