American footballer just hit, in a tackle it’s taught “it doesn’t matter how big they are they’re going nowhere without their legs”, wrap up the legs the biggest guys will stop or fall.

It's not really about the pads. The rugby dudes play both offence and defence, 80 minutes at full speed. They have immense technical and tactical skills, insane stamina, and they are fearless. Incredible teamwork is a must. I am not talking about the mega-super-stars, but any average rugby player from a reputable team will do well in the NFL. Will any average NFL guy from a reputable team last a good full-time rugby game?
Glad you like and appreciate rugby.

Remember the ball MUST touch the ground beyond the line to score. Hence Touch Down. Americans still call it a touchdown but don't bother to touch it down.

Check out a Morgan Freeman film called Invictus it was directed by Clint Eastwood. It's about the rugby world cup in South Africa, Freeman plays Nelson Mandela and I think it's one of his best, it's not Red in Shawshank Redemption, but it's not far off

Sister of two rugby heads - the best sides, the best people, the pub sides are brilliant fun. The women's rugby is also on the up and an excellent watch... And no padding!!

It's not just that he has to cross the line. He also has to place the ball on the ground.

You can cross the line but be held up from placing the ball down on the ground
