Hello from Pueblo Colorado. Thank you for featuring our wonderful chilies. I don’t eat that delicious chili like you did. Make a hamburger Pattie’s 2 open faced spoon over hamburger with extra onions, shredded cheese on top. You just made a Slopper started at Grays tavern. We have a completion of who makes the best Slopper. Best in town. Also serve the chili over French fries with shredded cheese. We also have a three day festival around the chilies. Great that you featured the chilies from Pueblo. Also ours is served with pork in it.

I was born in Colorado and green and red chili is very big there. I'm so glad you mentioned Pueblo. Because that is where the chili originates from and every year in September, Pueblo, puts on a huge chili festival. And as you walk around, they've got those green chilies roasting and they smell amazing. I make mine with lean pork and chicken stock. And I top it off with a little sour cream and cheese and use a white tortilla to dip it with, delicious!!!

Michigan has at least 3-4 different specialties for food. You have Cornish Pasties in the UP, thats primarily what they're known for. Lower Penninsula is Detroit Style Pizza and Coney Island style Hot Dogs. Some of the best places to visit are Pictured Rocks in Munising, UP, and Mackinac (Mackinaw) Island, Holland, Saugatuck, Harbor Springs, and so many others. Michigan is a VERY beautiful state. Coming from a Michigander! 😊

Hello I’m from outside Pueblo. Everyone here makes green Chili with Pork. You can use it to go over stews or burritos or even enchiladas. And of course flour tortillas.

Mandy, you did Colorado proud! While I've never had green chili without diced pork, the color & consistency of yours was spot on! Be proud of yourself, young lady! Next time, add some diced pork, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Serve over simple burritos & top it off with all the fixin's! Sending all the hispanic love from southeastern Colorado!

We will send you some Pueblo Chilies if you would like. Thanks for mentioning Pueblo!! Here we add pork butt roast to our chili. Then we do what's called sloppers, hamburgers smothered with green chili. We have a yearly contest seeing which restaurant has the best chili. You said that about the pork after I wrote that lol. Pikes Peak!! Also America The Beautiful was written on top of Pikes Peak.

New Mexico here. Chile is good in Colorado. No complaints. But it’s AMAZING in the 505 :)

Colorado here. Thanks for featuring green chili. I have won 1st place in our local chili competition for 2 years. Never get tired of green chili, mine always includes pork. At home I sometimes add great north beans, or we serve it over rice. When eaten just as a green chili stew we scoop it with tortillas or Frito scoops! Nothing better than the smell of green chilis roasting!

Nice start...and I'm so glad you chose green Chile as our State Favorite. I've won our local Chili Cook-Off in our small town in Northern Colorado, many times over the years, and you definitely MUST use PORK..if you don't want to spend all day waiting for a Pork Shoulder to cook, just pick up a couple pounds of Ground Pork at the store. Also, I recommend putting about 5 times the amount of those tiny cans of Chiles...or get the a couple of the large cans of green Chiles. That would have really made this a "true" Green Chile. Also add Cilantro and a squeeze of lime. Just a few tips. LOVE YOUR SHOW!!
