  Gordon Ramsay would actually be kinder to you for not having any experience. He is understanding to amateur and child chefs. The reason why he loses his temper so much on Hells Kitchen is that outside the first and second season, where housewives and accountants were competing, from season three and onwards, the competitors were head chefs and souse chefs. They were supposed to the best of the best coming to compete. Gordon Ramsay himself said that Raj had more cooking experience than he did, and yet he gave him a pancake salad, didn&apos;t know how to make pizza dough, and was literally eating the food that was sent back.

  I think Ramsay in an interview said why he is so different between MasterChef and Hell&apos;s Kitchen.<br><br>He basically said that he can accept fuckups in MasterChef because they are amateurs. It&apos;s a show about amateurs learning how to cook and become good at it.<br><br>Hell&apos;s Kitchen is for professionals, the kinds of mistakes that chefs do in Hell&apos;s Kitchen are mistakes that chefs shouldn&apos;t be making at their level.

  I feel like people don’t comment on how well Gordon screams. Like when he yells, he sounds like he’s effortlessly raising his voice. But whenever anyone else on this show screams it’s like they’re doing wayyyy too much

  The thing about Gordon Ramsay being mean and yelling is that he only does it when he thinks the person should know better. He&apos;s an angel with kids, he&apos;s always polite to the waitstaff who have to bring him the fucked up food in Kitchen Nightmares, he&apos;s nice to amateurs. The only times Gordon Ramsay would yell at you for fucking up cooking is when<br>1) you&apos;re supposedly a professional,<br>2) you boasted and acted like a professional but couldn&apos;t measure up to the expectation you set or<br>3) you are just genuinely going to get someone sick by serving what you made and you&apos;re trying to serve it anyways.

  I used to think Gordon was a jerk when I was younger, but when my mom heard me say that, she told me something that’s really stuck with me.<br><br>“They’re supposed to be professionals. When they screw up, it not only wastes food, but it’s also going to be food people eat. He doesn’t want to potentially make these people sick or possibly the worse case scenario, death. He’s harsh because he really cares about the people who came to have a fun time with friends and family.”<br><br>It really hit me then. I mean, some of these things were things that could really kill someone. Like the time they served bad shrimp to a pregnant woman.<br>I have respected him ever since and truly appreciate what he does now.
